Saturday October 21
10 a.m. – Houseplants 101
Nancy Hall, Ward’s Greenhouse Staff, shares her experiences to help you grow the healthiest houseplants. Different plants can handle (or need) different levels of light and water. Which ones will work for you? Do you have pets that may cause problems or eat the plants? What are your health concerns? Plants can help! Tips will range from choosing plants to preventing common problems.
We also offer Garden Craft classes now through the winter months. Please pre-register with the workshop registration link but payment is due in store BEFORE the START of class. 10 a.m. - Make a Terrarium Gift
Fee: $20 per container due on arrival
A great pre-holiday activity with kids! Nancy Hall, of Ward's Nursery greenhouse staff, will show you how to plan and plant your own miniature garden for yourself or as a gift. Ward’s provides the plants, soil, and layering material. You supply a large 1 - 5 gallon, wide-mouth, clear glass jar to fill. (Container not included. Please pre-purchase from Ward’s or re-purpose a fish bowl or other interesting large jar.)

10 a.m. - Thanksgiving Centerpiece
Fee: $25 per centerpiece due on arrival
Another great pre-holiday activity with kids! Our Ward's Nursery greenhouse staff, will show you strategies for how to create a balanced candle centerpiece with natural dried and fresh-cut plant material for your Thanksgiving feast. Please make a reminder to bring your own pruners and work gloves!
