UPCOMING FREE CLASSES
Usually, we present FREE garden classes in the fall for anyone curious about Bulbs; Perennials, Shrubs & Trees; or Houseplants, for their yards and homes.
We have limited this year’s classes to two that can be conducted with masks and in a safely distanced manner.
Full dates and descriptions are below. No purchase is necessary to participate in these classes but pre-registration is required. Sunday September 27
1 p.m. – Fall Garden Problem-solving – sorry FULL
Ward’s Staff horticulturists — Erin Benken and Morgan Gasperini will lead separate small groups outside through the perennials, trees and shrubs to highlight seasonal issues and share strategies to get ready for Winter. Masks required and please dress for the weather. Limited to 10 customers ONLY. Customers may also submit questions in advance via the Ward’s website.

Sunday October 4
1 p.m. – Favorite Bulbs for Outdoors and In
Eva Ward, Ward’s Greenhouse staff, will start with the basic overview of types of spring bulbs including unusual choices and their planting. The discussion will continue with strategies for creating potted indoor displays of forced bulbs to enjoy in January or February while winter winds blow. To be held in our large greenhouse with distanced seating and masks are required. Limited to 10 customers ONLY.
